Goal(s): Gain experience with how to use SPSS® to analyze data with a single sample t test, and then interpret and write up the results APA style.
Directions: Follow the step-by-step hands on tutorial. Click on the screenshots as if directly interacting with the SPSS software itself. Afterwards, play the game. Can you complete the activity with minimal assistance? Keep playing the game until you have mastered the basics of data analysis and writing up the results APA style for nominal and ordinal variables. Then apply what you have learned by redoing the activity using the SPSS® program.

Open the Sample APA style report (with descriptive statistics for nominal and ordinal variables) referred to in the tutorial.
Upon successfully completing the tutorial and game, you are invited to apply your developing SPSS skills to the following fictitious data set (download .sav file). Are you able to get the same results as with the tutorial?

To earn credit for this activity:
Click the 'Start' button on the game.
Complete the tutorial activity.
Click the 'Game' button. Doing so will restart the activity in game mode. You will have three hints to assist with completing the game. You may keep restarting the game until you successfully complete it.
Then enter the four digit passcode into the game. A three digit completion code will be returned to you.
To get credit for having completed the activity, provide the completion code as your answer (e.g., to a quiz question).
